DVD Production
To create your DVD production, our DVD Authoring Suites are equipped with Sonic Scenarist and Final Cut Studio systems, which can encode up to 2 hours on a single layer disk or 4 hours on a dual layer disk. The experienced dvd production team can add menus, sound tracks and subtitles as required. Menu design will include video content if required - these are known as 'motion video menus' - the video can be in a small area alongside the menu text, or can be full-frame with text superimposed on it. A subpicture is added to create highlights when the user operates the remote control or mouse. Complex programming is used to produce interactivity and navigation.
The mpeg encoding quality is excellent and you will not be disappointed with the picture and sound quality; the Sonic 2-pass encoder will scan your tape before encoding it to identify which sections require a high bit rate to maximise quality, and which sections can have reduced bit rate, to conserve disk space. Audio is encoded as Dolby Digital (AC3). Digital video and audio from

tape is mpeg encoded at a bit-rate up to 9Mb/s, using a high quality SDI real-time encoder. The disk can be regular 4:3 aspect ratio or 16:9 anamorphic widescreen in 525 or 625 formats or HD 1080i.
