Peak White is celebrating its 25th year in the UK post-production industry! Many video formats have been and gone, and Peak White has offered editing and duplication facilities for all of them throughout the years. Producers of broadcast and corporate programmes no longer want master tapes but instead, they need DVD copies or files in various formats, created from other files or from video tapes. Between them, Peak White and The Encoding Room provide the facilities required for modern productions and for the internet, whether created from vintage or current day media. Over recent years we have seen a decline in the need for tape copies (VHS copies in particular), and DVD transfer and copying and DVD-R duplication has become highly in demand. DVD copies can now be produced at very low cost in quantity, with the disks professionally printed and packaged to enhance their appearance.
Avid Adrenaline online editing has been supplemented by the latest Final Cut systems, which along with fast file processing and encoding can create files in Flash, Quicktime and Windows formats, and many others. A typical edit suite job one day could be product placement removal from a music video, as required for TV useage, and the next day legalising and layback of a client's edit for acceptance by a commissioning editor.
Sonic Scenarist is the yardstick by which DVD authoring systems are judged, and Peak White have many years experience with this software. DVDs can be quickly produced with any degree of complexity. Our Avid online edit suite is now available for dry hire at very reasonable rates; it includes Digi-Beta and DVCam decks, complete with full broadcast monitoring and a voice-over booth.
